Day 9: Declutter Your Mind… Take a Bath

A Candle at Bathtime

I was listening to Dr Rangan Chatterjee’s book called The 4 Pillar Plan (which is about taking a control of your health) and I decided that today should be about having some time to myself, even if it’s for just half an hour.

Some of you may be able to relate to this, but if you want to have a bath you first have to clean the bath, particularly if it has a shower overhead and is regularly used by the rest of the family. I got today’s challenge out the way first by spending no more than 10 minutes cleaning the bath and decluttering the surrounding area.

Then I put on some spa music and tried to relax by doing some deep breathing to declutter my mind before work.

It was a blissful thirty minutes.

Until tomorrow…

About Sandra Madeira

I am a working mum and entrepreneur with a passion for writing, coaching, mentoring and inspiring others. Subjects I tend to blog about are life skills, parenting, decluttering, worklife balance, career etc. I’ve been on a decluttering mission for years creating space in my house, garden and mind. In 2020 I challenged myself to declutter every day for a whole year and write about it daily. After that success I took on a challenge to change my career from accountant to life coach, and in early 2024 set up my own company. I continue to keep up with the decluttering, and now write daily about my home life and coaching business. Have a good day!
