Day 24: Decluttering Your Handbag is a Quick Win

This is a very easy bag to throw things into when I am in a rush. So much so, that the stuff needs to come out when I’m looking for something. A bit like this…

The contents were not placed for the purpose of the photo, this is exactly the way it fell out when I decided to go through it. About half of it went back in and the other half was thrown away, put away or recycled.

Well, that was a quick and easy decluttering task for today. Being a Friday, I sort of needed that after a busy week at work.

Until tomorrow…

About Sandra Madeira

I am a working mum and entrepreneur with a passion for writing, coaching, mentoring and inspiring others. Subjects I tend to blog about are life skills, parenting, decluttering, worklife balance, career etc. I’ve been on a decluttering mission for years creating space in my house, garden and mind. In 2020 I challenged myself to declutter every day for a whole year and write about it daily. After that success I took on a challenge to change my career from accountant to life coach, and in early 2024 set up my own company. I continue to keep up with the decluttering, and now write daily about my home life and coaching business. Have a good day! 1. The purse purge, i find myself doing it every couple of months. I found that having individual zipper bags for different items helped me. I have one for cosmetics(nothing worse that a lip balm that has lost it’s cover doing a free float through the bag), i Have one for pens and pencils and a small notepad, one for coupons and i use one during the holidays for all my receipts(not needed for me during the rest of the year). It took me a bit to get used to using them but once I made it a habit it is so much easier to find things and not throw stuff in willy nilly.
