Day 33: Where Are The Cards When You Need Them?

A box of cards

It sounds simple doesn’t it – having a selection of cards readily available in case anyone in the house asks if I’ve got one? The cards are usually in a few different places around the house, but today I’ve moved them into one place.

Next time I’m at the supermarket, I think I’ll stock up with cards for some of the upcoming birthdays and anniversaries and put them in this box ready. This is something I haven’t done for a very long time. I’m usually in the shop buying a card the day I need to post it, thereby wasting my time and adding unnecessary stress.

I’ve just popped a note on my errands list to do this, which has made me feel a bit more organised.

Until tomorrow…

About Sandra Madeira

I am a working mum and entrepreneur with a passion for writing, coaching, mentoring and inspiring others. Subjects I tend to blog about are life skills, parenting, decluttering, worklife balance, career etc. I’ve been on a decluttering mission for years creating space in my house, garden and mind. In 2020 I challenged myself to declutter every day for a whole year and write about it daily. After that success I took on a challenge to change my career from accountant to life coach, and in early 2024 set up my own company. I continue to keep up with the decluttering, and now write daily about my home life and coaching business. Have a good day! 1. Miss Hued's avatar Miss Hued says:

My mother used to keep a very full card box for all sorts of occasions. If you have a Papyrus near you, they’re all closing. If you like their cards, maybe you can snag a few on sale for some extra special people.

  2. I have tried this at various times in my life and for the more generic types it works for me, but when I went to buy Valentine’s Day cards or birthday cards for a special person I wanted things more personal.
