Day 45: I think I’ve Earned a Day Off From Decluttering

It’s been 44 days since I started my challenge to take decluttering seriously and make small daily improvements around the house. Some days I’ve gone over the top and worked myself too hard like yesterday, so I gave myself permission to avoid it today. My head and neck felt tense giving me a horrible headache.

Today was a family day.

I started the day with a bowl of porage and slice of lemon in water.

I did ten minutes in the gym followed by a relaxing session in the steam room, jacuzzi and sauna, which eased my head and neck-ache a bit.

The rest of the family were off today too so we spent quality time together. We did an hour in an Escape Room where you have to solve a number of puzzles before you can get out. Then we went for lunch followed by the cinema.

We’re all shattered now, and although the headache is still there I feel like I’ve decluttered my mind a bit.

Until tomorrow…

About Sandra Madeira

I am a working mum and entrepreneur with a passion for writing, coaching, mentoring and inspiring others. Subjects I tend to blog about are life skills, parenting, decluttering, worklife balance, career etc. I’ve been on a decluttering mission for years creating space in my house, garden and mind. In 2020 I challenged myself to declutter every day for a whole year and write about it daily. After that success I took on a challenge to change my career from accountant to life coach, and in early 2024 set up my own company. I continue to keep up with the decluttering, and now write daily about my home life and coaching business. Have a good day!
