Is it Worth Trying to Sell Unwanted Items Online?

When I sorted out the shoe cupboard the other day (61 Pairs of Shoes and 4 Cans of Paint), I left a pile of shoes and other footwear to be ‘dealt’ with (sell, give to charity etc). They’ve been cluttering the corner of the dining room since then, and have been really annoying me.

I decided to put these Clarks boots – that my daughter wore once – on a local Facebook marketplace site.

Let’s see what happens. If I don’t get any interest, I’ll just give them away or give them to charity. It’s worth a try.

Do you think it’s worth the hassle of trying to sell things online?

Until tomorrow…

  1. I have tried to sell certain things and got little or no response, the problem is keeping them while waiting to sell. If they were super expensive maybe it would be worth it to me. Knowing you are not in the US I don’t know if there are consignment places where they would sell for a bit of the profit or on-line places like Thred-up over there.

    • You are absolutely right, I should consider the space it’s taking up (i.e. my dining room) whilst I’m waiting to sell. I suppose I need to ask myself how much the space is worth to me (I feel a blog coming on…) 😊
