Day 51: 15 Minutes Until Midnight…

I haven’t done any decluttering this evening and I’m not likely to either as it’s 15 minutes until midnight. I popped into the kitchen to get a drink of water and was faced with this:

Before the quick tidy up

Let’s see if I can get it looking better before the clock strikes midnight.

Hopefully it’ll still be tidy in the morning unless someone gets up and had a midnight feast.

I asked Alexa to put on some Spa music and set a timer for 13 minutes so that I could post this blog before midnight.

I did it!

After the quick tidy up

Until tomorrow…

About Sandra Madeira

I am a working mum and entrepreneur with a passion for writing, coaching, mentoring and inspiring others. Subjects I tend to blog about are life skills, parenting, decluttering, worklife balance, career etc. I’ve been on a decluttering mission for years creating space in my house, garden and mind. In 2020 I challenged myself to declutter every day for a whole year and write about it daily. After that success I took on a challenge to change my career from accountant to life coach, and in early 2024 set up my own company. I continue to keep up with the decluttering, and now write daily about my home life and coaching business. Have a good day! 1. Nice kitchen. Either my husband or I clean up right after dinner because I hate getting up and being faced with a dirty kitchen. My kids learned at a very early age to put their dishes in the dishwasher after they cleared the table. I found that cleaning the kitchen after dinner helped my eating habits, didn’t eat late because I didn’t want to mess up the kitchen! Win/win

Well done! Everyday messes are my nemesis because they just build up so quickly… next thing I know, my living room table is covered in junk and looks like an insurmountable problem. Let’s not talk about my kitchen…
