I’ve mentioned this a few times over the last couple of months, but if my cupboards and drawers weren’t so jam-packed I might hang some of these worn-for-a-couple-of-hours clothes up. I just dump them (sometimes folded nicely and sometimes not so nicely) and it’s a bad habit. Not sure why I get so many items out, but I suppose it depends what I am doing, where I am going and how cold I am.

This was clear last week, so I need to break this habit. There’s actually an ottoman seat under there somewhere and I don’t get to sit on it, as I use it as a landing pad for my clothes. I do hang up a lot of stuff, but the more I do that, the less room I have in the wardrobes. It’s definitely time to give some away.
It didn’t take long and it’s all clear now…

In order to achieve the above, I had to shove things in whatever spaces I found in my wardrobes and drawers (no pictures of that for now!)
Some serious clothes decluttering and organisation needs to happen – just not today. I’m too tired. Instead of spending a whole day doing it through, I think I need to break it into bite-sized chunks.
I’ll come up with something during the week. Maybe I’ll start with what is actually in the ottoman!
Until tomorrow…
Sandra
I always do a purge when the seasons change because it is fresh in my mind what I have worn, you might want to try one drawer at a time now and take out for donation anything you have not worn this season. If you have that many clothes more than likely there will be some. A little at a time.
Thank you, perfect timing with Spring coming up. I’m actually looking forward to doing it, as it’s well overdue. I’m terrible at keeping things just in case, but I’ll have to be ruthless.
Make the time to try things on just in case you are on the fence about any one object. I did this and found that I really didn’t like the fit of some items which is probably why I didn’t wear them.
Excellent idea, thank you
