My friend (and trained massage therapist) came round to give me a massage this morning, so I’m feeling fabulously relaxed now even though I had to go to work after that. I’ve been drinking lots of water and herbal teas ever since in order to replenish the fluids released from knots and tension in my muscles (she had to work a lot on my back, neck and shoulders due to all the stress I hold there).
We had a lot to talk about and got on to the subject of decluttering. She was saying how she’s recently slowed down her buying habits and created a rule for herself. She’s only allowed to bring items of clothing into the house if she donates the same number of items to charity.
It sounds easy and I’m sure we’ve all told to ourselves that we are going to do this. Without thinking, I said that I hadn’t bought anything for ages, but then I remembered that I had bought these two deliciously soft cardigans recently…

So, Two Items Out…
I went to my wardrobe this evening and pulled these two items of clothing out and placed them in the charity bag. Every little bit helps reduce the amount of clutter I’m storing behind those closed doors.

Before I did that though, I tried each item on (something one of my dedicated readers advised me to do, thank you). Taking her advice made me realise that the arms were too short (the item on the left), which reminded me why I never wore it. It’s wool, cashmere and acrylic and I think I accidentally shrunk it in the wash many years ago.
Ha ha… that’s a way to get rid of items of clothing that I’m not sure about.
Until tomorrow…
Sandra
I need to do this with books lol x
Yes, I need to do this with lots of items, ha ha
Congratulations! I had not realized until just recently that I had not even opened a particular drawer in my dresser that contained sweaters, guess they will be in the donate pile.
Yes, good idea, particularly if you don’t even remember them
