I was sorting out a pile of games the other day that my girls no longer wanted. In amongst them I found a ‘good as new’ Harry Potter game and thought I’d advertise it on FaceBay. All the pieces were in there, which is quite rare in this house. I thought I’d start with £8 for the game and see how it went.
The results…
Not being a Harry Potter fan myself, I was shocked to get almost 300 views within 12 hours and about 10 requests asking if it was still available. Two buyers were even willing to pay postage for me to send it to them. I sold it to one of the first buyers that said they could pick up.
A lady collected it today. That £8 is only a small offset to the cost of the clutter mentioned in yesterday’s post, but it’s a start.
I’m now working through other unwanted games but finding pieces missing – they could be anywhere. I do remember having a ‘missing pieces box’ once – it’s probably buried beneath the clutter in the spare room.
More on games and what I’m going to do about them another day!
Until tomorrow…
Sandra
Well done x
Thank you for reading my blog Alcina x
Congratulations, I never get to sell my stuff. Had a yard sale once and that garnered me a few dollars. When my mother died we had an estate sale and that was good, but she had alot more stuff than I did and hers was actually worth something!
Thanks. Every little bit helps
