Day 79: A Couple of Cutlery Drawers Decluttered

Cutlery drawers before decluttering

We’re very lucky to have two large cutlery drawers in our kitchen. Like all drawers, random items creep in there as well as crumbs and stuff… I’ll spare you the photos of that. For absolutely ages I’ve been meaning to take everything out, wipe them, clean the cutlery etc, take out the random bits that shouldn’t be there and put it all back nicely. Today was the day!

Drawer… free from crumbs

It was very satisfying seeing them clean and then putting what we actually use back in the drawers.

I’ve used the drawers several times since this morning and everything felt lovely and clean. A couple of observations though… I seem to be missing a lot of teaspoons. Where do these things go?

Until tomorrow…

About Sandra Madeira

I am a working mum and entrepreneur with a passion for writing, coaching, mentoring and inspiring others. Subjects I tend to blog about are life skills, parenting, decluttering, worklife balance, career etc. I’ve been on a decluttering mission for years creating space in my house, garden and mind. In 2020 I challenged myself to declutter every day for a whole year and write about it daily. After that success I took on a challenge to change my career from accountant to life coach, and in early 2024 set up my own company. I continue to keep up with the decluttering, and now write daily about my home life and coaching business. Have a good day!
