The poor vacuum cleaner needed a bit of love and attention today, so I got some scissors and cut away the long hair and other materials wrapped around the brush roller. I do this about once a month otherwise it gives off a horrible burning smell.
Here it is all clean and it only took about ten minutes. It looks as good as new don’t you think?

90 day checkpoint
I can’t believe that I’ve been decluttering and introducing mini systems around the house for exactly 90 days. It’s harder to focus now that everyone is at home; however, I’m still making good progress. I’m getting positive comments from the rest of the family too.
Until tomorrow…
Sandra
Hey Sandra, you just reminded me I need to do this…my daughter and I shed a lot of hair! It’s a pain in the bum when your vacuum won’t pick up!
I’m also trying to declutter! Have been watching lots of YouTube for inspiration but will now check out your posts too.
Have a great day! 🙂
Hi, thanks for commenting Maria. Long hair has its disadvantages when it comes to vacuum cleaners and plug holes (I have posted something on that recently too). Good luck with your decluttering, it’s very satisfying!
Your vacuum even comes with a hair removing tool! I don’t have the hair problem as much anymore, but when I was working in a store that needed vacuuming nightly it always amazed me what people would try to vacuum up. Those plastic swift tach tags were always getting the roller messed up. To everyone with kids, please make sure they know how to run a vacuum, change the bag(if it has one) and know a few rules about what does not go in the vacuum. I couldn’t believe how many kids I had to teach.
That must have been a nightmare with those plastic tags, I hate the sound it makes when they get caught in the roller.
