Day 114: Morning Walk Before Work Gives Me a Much Needed Energy Boost

Beautiful sky on my morning walk

I’m enjoying my morning walks more and more each time I go out. I try and fit it in every couple of days for 15-20 minutes just to get an evergy boost and improve my mood. I might even start to make it daily. The rest of the family aren’t interested in coming with me; maybe in time they will. We could be in lockdown for a while according to the news updates.

Being outside gives me the open space that I need… there’s so much of it out there and hardly anyone about. It’s very freeing, helps to clear my mind and gives me a break from the clutter I still have around me at home.

What have I decluttered today?

This pile of papers etc which have started to accumulate again…

The pile keeps getting moved from the table to the stool and back to the table again. It’s growing and I’m not going to let it get any taller; it’s going to be tackled now!

I slept better last night by going to bed a bit earlier. Let’s see if I can beat that and get to bed even earlier this evening.

Until tomorrow…

  1. Maria Smith says:

I like to walk too, although I’ve been having days where I can’t be bothered to go out.
Today was a good day, I walked into town with my daughter. We needed bread, so nipped into a shop for it and then walked back through the local park, and went a slightly different route on our return home.

I managed to add a few more things to my charity box today, a candle holder I’ve never really liked, a small pair of binoculars, some old sunglasses and a couple of hats. I also went round the house and gathered up stuff for the recycling bin as it’s being collected tomorrow.

    • Well done for getting out for a walk. It feels good doesn’t it, particularly taking a different route? That’s positive that you’ve added more things to your charity box and recycling bins as well.

  2. Your weather seems to be a couple of weeks ahead of mine, but it is so nice to get out and take a nice walk to blow out the cobwebs. I believe paper multiplies at night when the lights go out and it is laughing at out attempts to tame it.!
