I really had to get out for a walk this morning as my head felt stuffy and achy and I couldn’t concentrate on anything. I ended up jogging some of the way. I was out for 45 minutes and although it was cold, it felt good to be out exercising.
Boris Johnson introduced a new tier 4 today due to the new variant of the virus spreading quicker. We weren’t going anywhere Christmas Day or throughout any of the 5 days that we had originally been allowed so it doesn’t really affect us now that it’s been cancelled, but I know people that have made plans which they will now have to break. It’s all for the safety of others though.
What I did have to do at 5pm after the announcement was rush to the shops and buy some presents. What I wanted to buy was out of stock but I managed to get what I needed online in the end. I still have more to order but I’ll do that tomorrow.
Everyone had the same idea (as retail shops were to close at midnight today) so there were so many people out and about and the shops were busy. It took me at least half an hour to get out of the car park to get home as it was gridlocked. It didn’t help that the the road outside the car park was flooded due to the heavy rain.
Decorating
Vanessa, our decorator, almost finished our hallway, stairs and landing today. The gloss has mostly been done and it looks amazing, but she’s going to finish the last bit in the New Year as this was her last day before her Christmas break. We’re so grateful for the hard work she’s put in over the last few weeks.
Our bedroom and the kitchen/dining room will be decorated after Christmas now after her well-earned break with her family. This will give me time to finish decluttering those two rooms which is good.
I’m late posting this today as I fell asleep on the sofa before pressing submit 😀!
Hope you’ve all had a good Saturday.
Until tomorrow…
Sandra
Stay safe and enjoy the quiet time. When all your painting is done you will be so happy and if you have time to de-clutter before it will be even more freeing.
Thank you 😊
