About Sandra Madeira

I am a working mum and entrepreneur with a passion for writing, coaching, mentoring and inspiring others. Subjects I tend to blog about are life skills, parenting, decluttering, worklife balance, career etc. I’ve been on a decluttering mission for years creating space in my house, garden and mind. In 2020 I challenged myself to declutter every day for a whole year and write about it daily. After that success I took on a challenge to change my career from accountant to life coach, and in early 2024 set up my own company. I continue to keep up with the decluttering, and now write daily about my home life and coaching business. Have a good day! Almost hit by a clotheshorse

I have a lot of determination at the moment to clear my surroundings of clutter and mess. So much so, that I spent an hour sorting through baskets of washing and putting things away in the nice tidy baskets that … Continue reading

Keep calm and tidy up

I applied the 10 minute tidy rule when tidying my spare room yesterday evening. I set the timer and began. When the alarm went off I felt so motivated to carry on that I ended up resetting the timer 3 … Continue reading

A ten minute tidy up

I took a different approach yesterday and just spent 10 minutes picking things up and putting them in their places. It’s surprising how much you can get done in a short space of time. I went to bed thinking that … Continue reading

Noticing your clutter

My decluttering challenge has made me much more aware of my surroundings. Today I noticed an area under the ironing board that has had ‘stuff’ sitting there for I don’t know how long! It took me no more than ten … Continue reading

Decluttering starts with the smallest of steps

It’s got to 9.50pm and I haven’t decluttered anything, nor have I finished reading Monday’s chapter (about wardrobes) in Erin Rooney Doland’s book Unclutter your Life in One Week. I have, however, had a full and busy day at work; given … Continue reading

Feeling motivated to declutter

Today I did lots of decluttering. My goal was to put the mountains of clothes  away in various family members’ wardrobes and drawers, but I also ended up pottering about downstairs whilst cooking a roast and cleared half the dining … Continue reading

Weekend decluttering

After writing this morning’s blog, I read ‘The Weekend’ chapter in Erin Rooney Dolland’s book Unclutter your Life in One Week and it was like it was written for me. It described how you should relax after a busy week … Continue reading

Doing something about clutter and mess

Clutter and mess can take over your life. You walk into every room and it’s the same; there’s no getting away from it. Some would try to help by saying ‘tidy just one room and have this as your go-to … Continue reading

Craving

https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/craving/ In response to the Daily Post, I’m writing about Cravings today. All I can think of on the subject of Cravings is that I sometimes crave me time. I’m on holiday, and late afternoon today I popped down to … Continue reading
