Blogging, cooking and wine

P1000756

I’m having a nice cold glass of wine on this gorgeous summer’s day whilst cooking dinner for the family. It’s been a chilled out day for me as the girls haven’t had any homework this weekend as we are getting close to the summer holidays. This really makes a difference to the whole structure of our Sunday, as this is usually the day of the week that we try and get those mini projects done before school in the morning.

Don’t get me wrong, I do like helping the girls with their studies, but everyone needs time off now and again. This includes the children, as they work so hard at school and they are getting more difficult homework as the years go on.

Having a blank canvas today meant a spontaneous trip to the park, a little bit of writing, some reading in the garden and even a thirty minute snooze on the settee. Now I’m going back to my wine…oh, and I’d better get the sausages out of the oven!

Until next time…
