Day 86: A Simple Way to Unclog a Plug Hole

Those who are following me will know that I don’t know much about drains but I’m certainly learning by buying different tools and knowing who to call if it’s a bigger job.

Today I decided I couldn’t leave this particular sink in the en-suite any longer. The water hasn’t been draining properly for a while so I decided to try this new tool that I bought from Amazon for £1.31.

Small drain cleaning tool

Here’s how it went…

I unscrewed the plug and pushed down the drain cleaning tool. What came out was way more than I thought.

Unclogging the plug

Although not a nice job, it’s a very satisfying one.

It motivated me to clean the bathrooms, and mop the floors.

About Sandra Madeira

I am a working mum and entrepreneur with a passion for writing, coaching, mentoring and inspiring others. Subjects I tend to blog about are life skills, parenting, decluttering, worklife balance, career etc. I’ve been on a decluttering mission for years creating space in my house, garden and mind. In 2020 I challenged myself to declutter every day for a whole year and write about it daily. After that success I took on a challenge to change my career from accountant to life coach, and in early 2024 set up my own company. I continue to keep up with the decluttering, and now write daily about my home life and coaching business. Have a good day! Wow you are a star well done.

  2. It’s true it is not a pleasant job but such a sense of satisfaction when you are done. This is on the list for my husband to do when he is bored and pacing.
