Wunderlist is Shutting Down, so I’ve Moved my Lists and Tasks to Microsoft To Do

Transferring lists and tasks to Microsoft To Do

I was horrified for a brief moment last night when I saw an email in my inbox saying that the Wunderlist app, that I use for all of my lists and tasks, is shutting down on 6 May. It’s an app that I’ve used daily since about 2012 to monitor my tasks and reference lists so you can imagine how I was feeling.

Luckily there were instructions within the email showing me how to import them all into the suggested Microsoft To Do app which I have completed today 😅. Thankfully it was a quick process and didn’t take long at all.

968 tasks were transferred over! Don’t worry, they are not all things I need to do as such; I have some reference lists in there as well. I’ve spent a bit of time this evening tidying and decluttering my lists, as well as learning how this new app works. It’s mainly the same with only a few minor differences which is good.

It also made me realise how many tasks I take on – some are low importance but still need to be done at some point. Busy busy…

Until tomorrow

  1. I have multiple lists and found that if I prioritize them in some way then I am not so overwhelmed. All of them will probably get done, but in an easier time frame.

I’m a list person too. Last year I moved to bullet journalling and now do my lists there. I do have lists for different things though …
    Household tasks
    Shopping
    Menus for the week
    Work list
    Household Admin
    Goals
    Writing tasks
    Holidays and Days Out list
    The lists are endless!
