The tiles for our en-suite are out of stock and not available at the warehouse until next Wednesday. This means that the plumber might prioritise a couple of other jobs that we need doing and delay the tiler.

We had an option of choosing another tile, but we couldn’t bring ourselves to do that after it took so long to choose these. Our plumber got me a good deal on them and I just need to drive to the shop tomorrow to pay for them.

Not much got done in terms of moving the en-suite forward today. Just adding new pipework ready for the plumbing.

The Decorating

I’m so proud of my daughter for her dedication on getting the room finished particularly when she’s only had the evenings to do it this week. The plumber left early today so we had a bit more time for finishing it off.

She gave the ceiling one last coat and pushed the spotlights up into place. She then did a final coat of the Timeless colour paint on the walls (such a lovely shade) and I carefully painted around the edges once I’d finished work. I quite enjoy doing that bit.

Tomorrow, we are going to tidy and clean up in there, put all the builders’ tools and materials in the empty en-suite and then start building the furniture. She’s so excited.

The Kitchen Toys (Clutter)

I got a message on Facebook today with someone offering me £15 for the above toy kitchen items that I’d advertised a couple of weeks ago. I said that I would only reduce it from £20 to £18 and throw in the pink box and a set of oven kid’s gloves as well. She seemed so happy. I’m over the moon too as that’s one more box gone out of the garage.

I’m getting there!
